New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is set to launch a fresh phase of its protest movement, with party founder Abhijeet Dipke announcing that “Jantar Mantar Season 2” will begin soon.

Speaking at a public gathering on Wednesday, Dipke said several people had been asking on Instagram when the second phase of the Jantar Mantar movement would begin. Responding to them, he announced that the next chapter of the protest would start “very soon.”

Dipke also alleged that the party faced difficulties while trying to arrange a venue for a meeting of its volunteers in Delhi.

According to him, several hall owners refused to rent their premises for the CJP meeting, allegedly citing “pressure from above.” He said the party eventually managed to arrange a venue, but claimed that the owners were threatened on the morning of the meeting.

Dipke alleged that the hall owners were warned of serious consequences if they allowed the CJP meeting to take place. He accused the BJP of being behind the alleged pressure and said such tactics would not intimidate the party.

“These actions show that they are afraid of the country’s youth,” Dipke said, adding that the CJP would continue its campaign despite such alleged attempts to stop it.

The allegations made by Dipke could not be independently verified.

CJP’s 37-Day Jantar Mantar Protest

The announcement comes after the CJP concluded a 37-day protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The movement was withdrawn on July 25 after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned and the party received assurances on some of its other key demands.

The prolonged protest had brought education, examination-related issues and concerns of students and young people into the national spotlight. The party has now indicated that its campaign will continue beyond the Jantar Mantar protest.

Nationwide ‘Listening Tour’ Planned

CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said the party considers the ongoing protests across the country part of what he described as the second phase of its movement.

He announced that the CJP will now begin a nationwide “listening tour” to directly hear the concerns of people across different parts of the country. The party plans to use the campaign to identify public issues and raise them through its organisational activities.

According to Das, education will remain a major priority, with a dedicated campaign planned from Independence Day. The party intends to focus on education-related concerns while expanding its outreach beyond Delhi.
