Dharmanagar: On Tuesday evening at 5 PM, the North Tripura district administration and police conducted a massive flag march across Dharmanagar. The initiative comes ahead of the upcoming by-election in the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly constituency, scheduled for April 9, and is aimed at ensuring a peaceful and fair voting process.

Leadership and Participation
The march was led by District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran along with the Superintendent of Police of North Tripura. Joining them were the Returning Officer of the constituency, the SDPO of Dharmanagar, Assistant Collector, and personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The procession covered the entire Dharmanagar town, symbolizing the administration’s readiness to safeguard the electoral process.
Assurance to Voters and Media
During the march, both the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police interacted with local voters and media representatives. They assured everyone that comprehensive security measures have been put in place to guarantee free, fair, and peaceful elections.

Security Measures at Every Booth
Officials emphasized that strict surveillance will be maintained at every polling booth. Voters were encouraged to cast their ballots without fear, under the message: “Your vote is safe, your booth is secure, your opinion is valuable.”

Call to Exercise Democratic Rights
The North Tripura district administration, along with the Election Commission, has urged all eligible voters of the 56-Dharmanagar Assembly constituency to confidently exercise their democratic rights on April 9.
