Dissatisfaction Over ADC Governance Fuels Mass Defections
State General Secretary Bipin Debbarma delivered a stinging critique of the current Tipra Motha-led council governance during the ceremony. He alleged that the TTAADC has been plagued by corruption and a lack of transparency, leaving the indigenous communities neglected. According to Debbarma, the massive influx of supporters into the BJP is a direct result of people realizing that their interests were being compromised for personal gain. The new joiners echoed this sentiment, stating they chose the BJP to become partners in the “Double Engine” development model promoted by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.
