Yellow Alert: Thunderstorms and High Winds
The Meteorological Centre Hyderabad has placed several districts under a “Watch” (Yellow Alert). From March 16 to March 20, isolated pockets of Telangana are likely to experience:
- Light to moderate rain and thundershowers.
- Lightning strikes in scattered areas.
- Gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph.
Why the Weather is Changing
Independent weather experts attribute this sudden shift to moisture-laden south-easterly winds and increasing thermal instability in the atmosphere. While the official IMD warning currently extends to Friday, some trackers suggest the cooler conditions and sporadic rain could persist until Sunday, March 22.
